Where does my home lose energy?
This is an easy question without an easy answer.
Every home is different, so every home energy usage pattern is different. Plus, each home has its own set of problems – some of which are visible in plain sight and others that aren’t.

Most homes lose the most energy in the following rooms/areas/appliances:
- Attic
- Basement
- Kitchen Appliances
- Furnace / Air Conditioner
- Hot Water Heater
- Entryway
This is a broad list, of course. And every home is different. But when the results of an audit done by you come back and you start your calculations, don’t be surprised to find at least a few of these areas on your short list of energy saving opportunities.
