Dave Andersen, the man behind the unique Home Energy Audit Kits, has been helping homeowners save money on energy since 2003. He is a regular contributor to the Utility Bill Busters blog, a free resource with articles and advice on saving energy and saving money on home energy. He has written numerous guides and e-books, starting with the popular “Saving money on energy bills: A practical approach” in 2003. Since then, he has written numerous how to guides and articles that have helped normal homeowners save on energy.
The Home Energy Audit Kit was created and published by Dave in 2008 as a single download, packed with home energy calculators that did everything from estimate heat loss to energy savings. The original kit and calculators formed the basis of one of the most important things a homeowner can do – learning where energy is spent around the house. The only way to start reducing energy bills is to “attack” the root of the problem. The only way to find this out is by doing an energy audit.
